Soundcore Rave Mini Review
If you want to watch movies or listen to music on your smartphone or laptop, a portable Bluetooth speaker is necessary. However, choosing the best one for you can occasionally be a stressful process given the variety of options available. Portable speakers range in price from a few dollars to hundreds of thousands of dollars and come in various sizes and shapes. The market is flooded with Bluetooth speakers from Soundcore that have an above-average sound quality and are reasonably priced. In this article, we’ll examine the Soundcore Rave Mini in more detail.

Design
The Anker Soudcore Rave Mini is a powerful speaker that will play music at maximum volume at your upcoming outdoor summer party. The item has a height of 13.46 inches, a width and depth of 7.09 inches, and a weight of roughly 7.17 pounds. The woofer, tweeter, and LEDs are protected by metallic grilles on the surface, which have a smooth matte black finish.
With supporting rubber grips on each panel, the speaker can be set down upright or on its side. The speaker has a carry handle on the top that makes moving it simple. The controls for the speaker’s volume, power, source input, next/previous track, multifunction, and Bluetooth are located below the handle. The AUX, DC IN, and USB ports are located on the back of the speaker.
The Soundcore Rave Mini is waterproofed to the IPX7 standard. Even after being completely submerged in water, the water-tight casing creates a seal to keep the music playing. In other words, the speaker will continue to function after being submerged for about 30 minutes in three feet of water. It’s also lightweight, so if it accidentally falls into the pool, it will float to the top. Although we don’t advise keeping it in water, you can be sure the speaker will be protected if you spill a drink on it or if your party gets a little rowdy.
Along with providing party lights that sync to your music, the Rave Mini also features two vibrant RGB LED rings at the front of the speaker. You can connect the Soundcore app to the six custom LED color modes. Through the app, you can also adjust the speaker’s indoor or outdoor mode and customize the equalizer.
For a speaker that is more reminiscent of a boombox, Anker offers the Motion Boom Bluetooth speaker, which is similar to the Rave Mini in terms of tone, build quality, and many other features. Although it lacks the majority of the party-friendly features, such as the onboard LED lights, it is a little smaller and therefore easier to transport.
Sound
The Soudcore Rave mini’s 5.25-inch woofer, 2-inch tweeter, and 5.25-inch passive radiator produce a powerful 80W of sound. Using the BassUp technology, you can also modify and amplify low frequencies. It produces loud, thunderous bass and clear, crisp audio vocals for a “mini” speaker. The’standard’ Soundcore Rave speaker has 160W of power, so if you’re ready to shell out an extra $50, you’ll get twice the sound.
Battery life
A 10,000mAh Li-ion rechargeable battery is integrated into the speaker. It charges in 4 hours and can play for up to 18 hours, depending on the volume and LED settings. The battery will discharge more quickly the louder the music is played and the more LEDs are used. A built-in USB port allows you to charge your smartphone while listening to music on the Rave mini. This addition is useful for reducing the length of charging cables. Use the supplied DC power cable to continue charging the Rave Mini until it is full. Once the battery is at 100%, it is not advised to leave the DC cable plugged in for very long.

Connectivity
One of the many ways to play music through the speaker is via Bluetooth. The Soundcore Rave Mini is equipped with the most recent Bluetooth version 5, which has a 20-meter (66 feet) range. To get the best sound quality, pair two Rave Mini speakers using True Wireless Technology and separate the left and right sound channels on each speaker. You can also play music on the Soundcore Rave Mini using a USB or AUX connection. Sadly, the box does not contain the Aux cable.
Conclusion
The Soudcore Rave Mini might be the ideal portable speaker for you if you enjoy LED flashing lights and are looking for one to bring to your next party. It is strong and durable for almost any environment thanks to its tough, sturdy construction and waterproof features. With a respectable 18 hours of playtime, the 80W of sound delivers a powerful punch for its size. With the push of a button, the Rave Mini electrifies the atmosphere and sends the bass pounding through the crowd.
The Soundcore Trance, which features firmware updates and design modifications, has since replaced the Soundcore Rave Mini as an upgrade. I actually prefer the design of the Rave Mini to the Trance in terms of the speaker’s general features and sound quality, so I wouldn’t advise spending the extra money to upgrade to the newer model.
